Technique: Odd peyote stitch

In order to make this banner you should be familiar with peyote stitch.
The pattern doesn’t include instruction on how to do peyote stitch. 

The pattern doesn’t include instruction for a hanger. You can make your own poster hanger or buy in some DIY shop poster/photo/print hanger… Just Google ‘DIY poster/print/photo hanger’ and you will get a lot of nice projects. Many shops on Etsy sell custom size print hangers. Just add ‘photo or poster or print hanger’ in the search field and you will get a lot of good offers. You can even use a small clothes hanger: Make more rows above the Gnome’s head and wrap it around the stick, zip up on the back.
