“Kia Orana” is the greeting used to say “hello” in the Cook Islands The literal translation is actually “May you live a long and fulfilling life” which is a wonderful sentiment that typifies the Cook Island culture.

This beautiful necklace is a combination of stitches and it’s suitable for intermediate to advance beaders. You should be familiar with peyote stitch and the herringbone stitch is explained in the tutorial.

  • Miyuki seed beads 11/0, 15/0
  • Pear shaped crystal (teadrop) 30x20mm
  • Crystal bicones 4mm
  • Pearl drop beads 10x7mm
  • clasp of your choice
  • Fireline 6lb
  • Beading needle
