What nightmares tell us

The loss of a loved one, persecution by the monster or hopelessly running on a important meeting and getting late – these are all things that happen in nightmares.

For some of us that horror is often repeated when we go to sleep.

Scientists trying to find out the meaning behind the disturbing dreams which leave us in a panic. They believe that nightmares do not have to have a direct connection with life in reality, but may reflect an emotion or concern.

Five most common things that dreams are falling, persecution, feeling of paralyzing, showing up late to important events, death of a loved ones.

Loss of hair or teeth, as well as take exams, are also common topics, even when you’re too young to become bald or too old to take exams.

According to research conducted in Germany, there is a clear difference in the subjects of dreams that haunt both men and women.

Men often have nightmares about violence and about dismissed, while heavy losses and sexual harassment are common in the dreams of women.

In one of the largest studies of this type, the researchers asked more than 2,000 men and women about their bad dreams. 48% of respondents said they never had nightmares, every 10th is  frightening with those dreams a few times a year, and every 20th has nightmares at least two times a week.

Those who have nightmares often were asked to describe their content.

Topics such as fall, or feeling of persecution, paralyze have no direct connection with their real life.

Monster what running after you in your dream could reflect the daily fears of a task that you want to avoid.

Dreams of a loss of hair and teeth, are more connecting with women and could represent their fears about the loss of good looks.

Experts say that our dreams and nightmares are the answer to the unresolved problem in our real life and that stress may exacerbate them.

If you face with what is coming, nightmares could disappear. You can lie yourself while you’re waking, but not in dreams.

Women were more exposed to nightmares because of hormones. They often dream about violence just before the monthly cycle.

Dreams are part of normal sleep and happen every night, even those who claim that they do not. Nightmares are easier to remember if you wake up during them. 

There are some examples what could be very useful for you:

Think about your dreams and try to face with your fears, problems, and failures in your daily life if you want to sleep calm…

But, if you ask me, it’s not only about “to sleep calm” it’s more about  take a responsibility for your actions and your life, learn to love and accept yourself, accept your failures like a part of life from which you are learning and becoming better person,  mature person. And mature people   however, can handle all reproofs and hardship of life with grace by having these qualities:

  1. Integrity
    Committed to the truth regardless how much it hurts.
    Willing to tell the truth even if humiliating and difficult.
  2. Responsible
    Take accountability of its own action.
    Has humility to accept opinion and faults.
    Can easily admit when their wrong.
  3. Learner
    has teachable spirit that is willing to listen and expand their perspective.
    Have an open mind to hear counsel and respond to reproof
  4. Available
    Can be interrupted and accessible anytime.
    They value and cherish a time well spent to people.
