I show a great interest in what they are talking about (Part 6)

The point is: We all like when someone is listening to us and show interest for what we are talking about (and how we are talking….).

So, I nod my head, saying from time to time “yes”… then I ask a question… then again nodding, “yes” phase, question…etc.

Don’t think it’s easy! Sometimes, the story (or people) is so bloody boring, that I would rather work in the mine (all shifts)! But, you can’t see that on my face :)

Maybe you can develop that listening skill… It could be useful in other situations in your life, too.

I learned that from my father. I had a real example in front of me for many years. I always had the impression that he was very interesting in what other people were talking about. But, he only used that nodding/yes/question technique. And what was the funniest: Everybody liked to “talk” with him and they were always coming back for more :)

Most of the time it was the process of: It goes in one ear and right out the other.

So, it was not important or he was listening,  it was important that they were talking!
