And he still doesn’t know that in the shop except the chocolate and beer you can also buy toilet paper, detergent, salt, pepper…He doesn’t know the purpose of all these buttons on washing machine, how iron works… My friend doing all, doesn’t matter that she go to work before him, coming back after him, one per month has a business trip and she is not at home just as mush as he can each day, for that time, to go to his mother to lunch and doesn’t get bored with that.

He doesn’t have a problem to get up at five in the morning because she has to be at six at the airport, to make cooked food warm, to go to market and bring just what is on the list…But why he is not paying the bills, doesn’t participate in costs for food, medical, cinema, dinner, going out? It is understood that it is her job, as it was until recently – Mom’s job. And he is spending only on his toys, from cars to incomprehensible, unnecessary high-tech gadgets… full house of those things!  

I would not say that she is comfortable in that story, but she categorically rejects the “Family story” because she said that she is “not able to support two children”. And what now?

German scientists for all blame feminism! Because, they say, women took over advantage on all fields, and now men need help. Professor Klaus Hurrelmanna from Bielefeld University said: “Whether it is about education, health, or the average length of life – women are in a better situation.

THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
In 1869 British MP John Stuart Mill was the first person in Parliament to call for women’s right to vote. On 19 September 1893 New Zealand became the first country in the world to give women the right to vote. Women in other countries did not enjoy this equality and campaigned for justice for many years.

In 1910 a second International Conference of Working Women was held in Copenhagen. A woman named Clara Zetkin (Leader of the ‘Women’s Office’ for the Social Democratic Party in Germany) tabled the idea of an International Women’s Day.

She proposed that every year in every country there should be a celebration on the same day – a Women’s Day – to press for their demands. The conference of over 100 women from 17 countries, representing unions, socialist parties, working women’s clubs, and including the first three women elected to the Finnish parliament, greeted Zetkin’s suggestion with unanimous approval and thus International Women’s Day was the result.

The very first International Women’s Day was launched the following year by Clara Zetkin  on 19 March (not 8 March). The date was chosen because on 19 March in the year of the 1848 revolution, the Prussian king recognized for the first time the strength of the armed people and gave way before the threat of a proletarian uprising. Among the many promise he made, which he later failed to keep, was the introduction of votes for women.

Plans for the first International Women’s Day demonstration were spread by word of mouth and in the press. During the week before International Women’s Day two journals appeared: The Vote for Women in Germany and Women’s Day in Austria.

Various articles were devoted to International Women’s Day: ‘Women and Parliament’, ‘The Working Women and Municipal Affairs’, ‘What Has the Housewife got to do with Politics?’, etc. The articles thoroughly analyzed the question of the equality of women in the government and in society. All articles emphasized the same point that it was absolutely necessary to make parliament more democratic by extending the franchise to women.

Success of the first International Women’s Day in 1911 exceeded all expectation.

Meetings were organized everywhere in small towns and even the villages halls were packed so full that male workers were asked to give up their places for women.

Men stayed at home with their children for a change, and their wives, the captive housewives, went to meetings.
During the largest street demonstration of 30,000 women, the police decided to remove the demonstrators’ banners so the women workers made a stand. In the scuffle that followed, bloodshed was averted only with the help of the socialist deputies in Parliament.

In 1913 International Women’s Day was transferred to 8 March and this day has remained the global date for International Wommen’s Day ever since.

During International Women’s Year in 1975, IWD was given official recognition by the United Nations and was taken up by many governments. International Women’s Day is marked by a national holiday in China, Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Numerous studies have shown that for men, a woman smile is very attractive. They believe that it shows that woman is open, cheerful and women’s open, cheerful and relaxing. A smile is always sexy!

Reminder: First go to the dentist, and then put a smile on your face. Bad and rotten teeth are not sexy, even if you have gorgeous boobs, very long and perfect legs, magnificent butt, long blond hair…

She knows to listen

Women who listen carefully to her partner is more than attractive. One Australian study showed that many men notice just that on woman. “It’s indescribably sexy when you have impression that whole woman attention is on you!” said one of the respondents.

Ok.ok… we knew that…Are they all had problems in their childhood because of insufficient attention? So, they are all the time in phase: “Please, listen to me! See me! I am here!”

What about us? Do they listen to us? Most of the time you can hear:”He doesn’t listen to me, at all!” not opposite…

Sense of humor

Everyone loves it when someone make him laugh, men too. They adore women with a sense of humor. These women know how to make them to relax and laugh, and that is a prerequisite for a good mood.

If woman doesn’t have a sense of humor, but has everything else? Can that pass?

Joke on own account

“There is nothing worse than woman who doesn’t know to make a joke on her own account and who takes everything personally” said one of the respondents in a recent British study. When the woman is joking on her own account shows that she is not critical of herself or of the male gender.

I don’t like that too, but I don’t think that it has something with critical attitude. I think it has with vanity.

Glance

Many men think that woman seduces the best with her glance. There are those who love the mysterious glance, while others are attracted to the gentle and shy glance. They say, “it is a movement that you can not set”. 

Oh, yes we can set the glance what you like!  

Mind

Most men want to have by themselves a smart woman (don’t tell me! ). Although some claim opposite, mind is a very sexy feature. Mind allows a woman to be interesting, intriguing, relevant partner in communication and imaginative in bed.  “The woman may not be the saint, but she must behave decently” said an American university student. Men are not attracted by women who are too loud and intrusive. “This is the first thing I see on woman. If she is not decent, I disappear” said on of the student”. 

What to say?

Actually, I hate those kinds of studies. What they like, what they don’t, tips&tricks after that… For God sake, we are all different! How many men likes it when a woman is loud, because they think this and that…?

In my country we say:” For each cloth you can find a patch”

It’s good to read those studies from time to time, but don’t take it just like that and don’t try to behave according to their results. Be yourself!

Some patch is just waiting for you, as you are.

This poem was found among the possessions of an elderly lady who died in the geriatric ward of a hospital. No information is available concerning her — who she was or when she died.

I was thinking whether do write about Milan Fashion Week or about my new passion and obsession. How it all began…

We all usually say: All happened by accident. But like I said in my “Self promotion page”: Coincidence does not exist. Everything happens for a reason.

I met a German lady in the marina where we are. She and her husband invited us to a glass of wine one wonderful night about a month and a half. She had a birthday that day, what we didn’t know… She was quiet. She was like I prefer to say “a good listener”. But, she was like that until the moment when I asked her what she is doing in her life. She said that she was working in one jewelry store and now she is making jewelry. She got that “happy face” what we all have when we talk about our passion. She stood up and brought a box full of beads and bracelets that she made. I was completely fascinated!

I almost screamed so that the whole marina could hear me:” You must teach me how to do this!” 

And she did… One evening I went back to her and she taught me the basic.

From that moment, I am totally crazy about whole thing. Like I discovered a whole new World! I went in quest for pearls, thread and other necessary material. On this island it’s not easy to find all those things, believe me… but I did my best.

When I equipped myself with all necessary things I started. I present you my first beginner’s works on a little bit strange way (on the oranges and on the volcanic rocks), but it seemed fun to me . It took me a long time to make these bracelets, but trust me, I completely enjoyed and I am proud of myself… But for me, this is much more than that.

This is the first recipe what I got and it goes directly into the category “No way to fail Muffins recipe” :) I haven’t tried it yet, but judging by the preface and the title, it promises

I am sharing this recipe with you immediately! I didn’t have time today to make Muffins, but tomorrow… is my Muffins Day! I am pretty sure that we have to invent International “Muffins Day”

Here it comes:

“Our kids made these many years ago, when they knew nothing about baking, when they were about 11 years old. If you can read and follow simple directions, these come out great every time.

SIXTH GRADE MUFFINS

Basic recipe
1 egg
2 cups milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Extra sugar (optional)

Variations: fold *one* into basic recipe
1 cup cleaned blueberries
1 cup chocolate or cinnamon chips
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup grated apple + 2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat over to 400F. Put paper baking cups into muffin tin or spray with nonstick cooking spray. In a small bowl, beat egg with a fork. Stir in milk and oil. In a large bowl, blend dry ingredients. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until flour is just moistened. Batter will be lumpy. Do not over mix. Add any variations with the last few strokes of mixing. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Top with additional sugar if desired. Baked 18-20 minutes or until golden. Muffins will have gently rounded and pebbled tops. Makes twelve.

Eat at least one while they’re warm, of course. Enjoy!”

Yesterday I tried to make Banana Crumb Muffins. I found that recipe on one web site.  Very popular one… The comments what I read about that recipe were very promising. It was in top 20, almost 100.000 people saved that recipe, read reviews almost 5000, kitchen approved! I was thinking: “if it’s like that it has to be mine no-way-to-fail recipe”. Also, comments what I read were very good. They said it’s easy to make.

Well, in my case, it didn’t work… So, I got something what is far away from edible!  And I call myself from now on a ”Cooking dummy”. Well, nobody’s perfect

I had to admit to myself (and to my Man) that the only Muffins I know to make (and it always works) is Dr. Oetker Muffins – actually their cake mix for muffins (chocolate muffins, lemon muffins, vanilla muffins…). I don’t know if you have in your country Dr. Oetker products (they have companies in more than 30 countries all around the world) , but believe me, there is no way to fail! Easy and quick! You can make a mistake only if you don’t know to read…  

But, now I have a problem. I can’t find on this island Dr. Oetker cake mixes. I don’t have time and nerves to surf over the Internet trying to find billions cooking/food web sites just one, but very good one muffins recipe – no way to fail Muffins recipe! 

So, my dear readers, does anybody of you in this virtual world has very good recipe for Muffins what you make in the real world? It has to be 100% no-way-to-fail! 

My Man (especially he) and I would be very grateful for your effort. Also, I will put that recipe (after I check it ) on my blog for all those desperate women like me in the cooking world

I found this recipe on www.sauerkraut.com (they also have http://www.sauerkrautrecipes.com/) I could not imagine that this kind of web site or domain name exist :) But, it’s very good one and it’s useful, trust me. 

Ingredients:
1 16 oz. can sauerkraut
¼ cup finely chopped celery
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup shredded carrot
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup vinegar

Direction:

Drain and snip sauerkraut, reserving liquid. Rinse and drain sauerkraut well.
Combine sauerkraut, celery, onion, and carrots.
In saucepan combine reserved liquid, sugar, and vinegar; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, pour over vegetable mixture.
Toss coating evenly, cover and place in the refrigerator for several hour or overnight.

My mother during the winter makes more simple Sauerkraut salad. It goes like this: sauerkraut, oil and over that grounded sweet red pepper spice. That’s it.

Sauerkraut

Those who regularly eat sauerkraut will also suffer less from a cold. It helps digestion and improves the your digestion flora, restores the function of liver and gallbladder, is gentle laxative, is diuretic, and its very useful in case of kidney inflammation. A little history…

Many believe that sauerkraut is a typical recipe from Germany or Holland, where sausages must be eaten. West-Friesland  ( Holland) known as the old coal country. But sauerkraut is not a Dutch invention. At the end of the 18th century the sauerkraut became well known in Holland. 

Sauerkraut has a long history that probably began in northern China, where thousands of years ago salt and sour preserved vegetables still. It is obvious that the sauerkraut from Asian nations, were settled in Europe. From here they brought it further westward, and become very popular in Germany as sauerkraut.

When James Cook, at 1775, returned from a long journey, he received the Copley Medal. Today that would be the Nobel Prize. He had indeed important philanthropic and scientific work to prevent scurvy, that horrible disease, a lack of vitamin C, which meant death for most sailors, because the lack of fresh food (fruit and vegetables) on board. Cook solved the problem with a considerable number of barrels of sauerkrauts.

Healthy Sauerkraut is now indispensable as Cook in that time. 

Medical use (three days 50gr of sauerkraut juice):

Acne: makes the skin healthy and preserved.
Eczema: white cabbage with sauerkraut or raw rice is a diet of calcium rich foods.
Diabetes: improves the general condition.
Rheumatism and arthritis: improves the general condition.
Vegetarian and anemia: vitamin B12 makes absorbable iron and is important in blood formation.

As you know or don’t, I’m living on a sailing boat somewhere at the Atlantic Ocean.

I’m not used to this life, I never sailed, never been on a boat at the ocean, never made a knot in a rope, never cooked under a angel of 25 degrees but I’m not seasick and i’m learning.  Trust me girls… I’m good

And please don’t mention the language what they are using in this nautical world. Suddenly a rope is a line, left is port, right is starboard, a kitchen is a galley and that is just the top of the iceberg. I can tell you it’s not so easy and especially for a woman like me who lived her whole life in a city.
For my man I’m still a spoiled city woman who thinks that milk comes from the supermarket and not from a cow…. 

But do you know that this sailing world is really a men’s world. Ok ok, I have a lot of attention from those guys but sometimes I really need to talk with women. I want to talk sometimes about something different then boats, weather, sails, navigation equipment and the storms everybody was in. When you listen to those “storm” stories, there must at least ten storms a day  

                                                    I will give you an example where I have to listen to. 

One of them was telling the next  story: 

The magnetic poles are showing strong signs of switching. About every half a million years, the magnetic poles would switched position. It seems that we are overdue since the last switch is about half a million years ago. The past century, the magnetic strength had dropped by 5%. 

The conversation between the sailors: 

                                                                                                     One of them is yelling : “Oh my god!! Do you know what that means?” 

The rest is looking at him with eyes like, please, please tell me more…” 

“Then all the penguins will go to the North pole and the Polar bears  to the South pole.”

On one moment a emperor penguin hopped on the boat, waddled to the helm, looked at the compass and started to dance. For the speechless sailor it was or he was watching Happy Feet When the penguin ended his dance, he jumped back in the sea and from one on the other moment the whole bunch started to swim to the North. . The enormous noise changed in a amazing and impressive song. After so much nonsense you would think that nobody is listening to that guy, but again no!
They were totally out of there mind, crying from laughing an in state of:  ”We want more!!!”
I just want to asked or we could talk about shoes and the latest fashion but I realized, that this was not the right moment. And the story went on….  

“ There was just a few days ago an article in the Times about a iceberg  with the size of Luxembourg that has split off from the Antarctic continent.  All Gore thinks this is “Global Warming” but it’s typically a sign of the start of the big Penguin and Polar bear trek.  But do you know that those penguins can become very aggressive? When they swimming around Bermuda they become totally crazy.. It has something to do with the change of the temperature. The Penguins are calming down but the power what they put in the universe can disturb all radar signals and destroys electronic equipment for years…” 

Of course…… I’m  just expecting a story about Barak Obama and that he is strongly related to a old famous Penguin family, but somebody have to mention something about Polar bears.….

Do you know that  Polar Bears during the trek lose all their hairs?  When they reach the Canarian Islands they’re totally bold. Normally the bold Polar bears can stand the radiation of the Sun very good but now they expect with the holes in the ozone layer that they get totally sun burned. They will look like a Englishmen after a day at the beach.  But there will be another problem: All those hairs are floating in big clouds in the ocean.  Can you imagine when a tanker or a big containership is driving true a cloud of lost polar bear hairs, what can happen?  The rudder and the propeller can be stocked, just like that. The strength of polar bear hair is more then steel. Then those ships are really easy victims  for pirates… or when the hairs will reach those nice and fancy beaches ? can you imagine……

This is enough!!!!!! I can’t stand it anymore and I’m using my strongest weapon.

From time to time it’s good to replace bad reviews about yourself with positive, encouraging thoughts. That is very valuable for your self-esteem. You have to take care about your ego, he has to feel strong and powerful. 

You have to encourage yourself to start to explore again, experiment, to show feelings, express views, develop your individuality. You have to learn that the only person who can tell you that something what you are doing is good or bad is the one you see in the mirror every day!

When you start to love yourself, you will learn to trust your feelings. You will not need anymore the other people to tell you how you look and what you are thinking. You will not seek shelter in other people, you will not enter in relationships because you don’t want to be alone or simply you need to take care about someone. 

Ask yourself whether you are the one who is trying to keep everything under control in your relationship, to organize everything, prepare, predict, who adjusted his/her own plans, change and cancels appointments to adjust to the partner? Consider why are you doing that?

Are you afraid that you will not meet expectations, that you don’t “deserve” love, that you will be left? The good news for you is: love is not something what you can deserve, love your partner, show your feelings and show that you care, but try to love yourself a little bit more. Show your partner that you respect yourself, your time and your needs. On that way, your partner will start to love you more.

There are many kinds of love that we carry in ourselves. We are surrounded by love that we get from our partners, friends, family, pets…and we also give our love to them. 

Then there is the love according to the all material and spiritual things which improve our lives – books, music, movies, other cities, other cultures…

But, the most important of all is self-love. Because, as Oscar Wilde said:” Self-love is the beginning of lifelong romance”.

How do you feel about that? Do you think it’s selfish or you think it has sense?

How many times have you heard ”you must love yourself truly, before you can love another”? Although it is a cliché, some people feel uncomfortable when they hear something like this (for example my mother), some of them don’t even understand what is it about.

“The worst thing in the world is to accept oneself completely,” said Karl Gustav Jung, one of the founders of analytical psychology. And if we want to love ourselves, we need to do just that, the worst – to know ourselves and to accept ourselves completely. Why is it sometimes so difficult?

Spin the wheel back…remember what your parents said to you when you were children, when you “disturbed their life routine” with your childish behavior. Their tone was always high, angry… As children, could we express our personality without “you are always making problems”? There is a root of not self-love, the lack of a positive image and love towards us as we really are. 

Later in our lives, maybe we felt unwanted, unloved, we feared that our feelings and needs are not important or valuable. Many were raised by parents who were unable or insufficiently mature to show unconditional love that belongs to the child, to accept and express emotions. Instead of joy, approval, love, in the eyes of parents we saw anger, fear, sadness, apathy, indifference… 

Then, dealing with the environment in which, very often, somebody’s security, self-confidence and arrogance getting a label of insensitive. Then you start again to examine your point of views, attitudes, you want to fit in. Often we are leaving our own needs aside. It often means that we are killing the most beautiful and best in ourselves, what makes us unique individuals. 

Mae West, American actress and sex symbol said “I do not love myself, I am crazy about myself!” 

It’s not about egoistical, selfish, irrational or narcissistic love which endangers other people’s needs for sake of our own. When we love ourselves, we don’t neglect the other. On the contrary, when we love ourselves, we are able to give more to others. Balance is essential, you can not give to others, if you at the same time not give yourself. It sounds mathematically, but admit that has sense. We have to “feed” ourselves first, and then we will have something to share with others.

People who don’t love themselves can spend a lifetime looking for peace, fulfillment and satisfaction in the very wrong places.

It’s good to analyze the painful experience. It’s important to analyze good experience in our lives as well. That is a way how we are learning about ourselves and how we can grow in the future like a person. Also, it will make it easier for you to go on.

The relationship is finished. Accept the end as a necessary chapter in your life. Of course that chapter will come a new chapterin your life, etc. The Book is finished only when you die. That’s life. The past experience can help you to “enter in a new chapter” more clever, enriched with awareness what to do or not to do in the new chapter. Work on your self. Grow up.

Is it really necessary for two people to think alike to be as one? Or is it the differences that build a bridge between two worlds or nationalities, or religions, where the mutual exchange of information helps us discover unknown areas of life? In every relationship you learn something new: about yourself, about someone else’s way of living, point of views, habits, way of thinking… It’s good to have things in common, but also it’s necessary to respect and accept other people differences. Differences between two people could help them to grow together, to build their own way of learning, living and developing in their lives.

I will mention only one mistake what I think that most of women make in a relationship. They want to make men act like they want , or if you want, they want to change them. It is a common mistake in the women’s world. That kind of relationship is finished before it has started. Because, after a while, the woman will get bored with the “model” what she has made, or man will become so unsatisfied because he can not show his real nature and personality. He will do what she wants, and that is a great base for his frustration and soon he will seek a way out. Actually, the woman didn’t accept the man  like he is.

While women make such a mistake, they will go from one bad relationship to another. It’s not difficult to realize that you are doing that.
