I bought a Benetton shirt 22 years ago and I was wearing that shirt every summer… That shirt was with me everywhere: Greece (mainland and islands), Egypt, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Tunisia, Mallorca, Turkey, Italy, Holland, France, Germany, Canary Island (Lanzarote, Furertaventura, Gran Canaria) etc…

My “lucky shirt”…

All those years the colors didn’t change (during so many washings, sun…!!!)! My shirt stayed totally the same! Amazing!

But, after 22 years, and washed by my strong Man (why I allowed that???)  My shirt didn’t survive… The material was thin (well after all those years…:)) and the shirt couldn’t stand that any more, especially not that man power. 

You know, that shirt became my private legend  

And after that very sad and I can say emotional moment for me, my partner dared to ask me “Can I use it for polishing?” My private legend??? My dearest one??? My connection with all those nice moments during I was wearing that wonderful one? Jesus! I spent more years with that shirt than with him!
And if you want, that shirt is death because he squeezed it with his uncontrolled power to the death! 

So, my experience tells me that stories about long lasting Benetton colors are not a myth, but truth. Only where you have to take care about is, that your partner don’t wash them! 

And he has just told me (after I read him my last sentence): “Oh my God it was already gone” – with a tone in his voice “Don’t make a drama!”.
Grrr… Men! Should I leave him???
