Application of the Bible on your life today

Posted on May 13 2010 by Ellad2

Running for a career, more money, more security, we unfortunately forgot this precious book where you can find so much wisdom which can lead you through life, in fact through much better life and make you a better person. This time I will remind you on 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 in 3 different versions of interpretations.

At the end I gave my interpretation, how the Bible can be applied to our “fast” lives today…how you can read and use the Bible to improve your life.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (Worldwide English (New Testament))

6Here is something to remember. `The man who plants a little bit will get only a little from it. The man who plants much will get much from it.’

7Everyone should give what he wants in his heart to give. He should be glad to give it, and should not give it because he was forced to give. `God loves a person who gives gladly.’

8God is able to give you even more blessings than you need. In all things you will always have all you need for yourselves, and you will have enough to help all others.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (New International Version)

6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (New Living Translation)

6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”[a] 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

My interpretation: If you want to start a new life of success you need to be motivated towards a success and to have the desire to work on it. Work diligently on it. That is a first step to successful life.

God Bless you all!

Good advice found in many of the sacred texts of humankind. Thank you for reminding us to focus not only on what we want, but to focus our energies on making it happen. We too often settle for wishful thinking instead of useful action.
