When my daughter was 5 years old, she adored to eat chicken. When somebody asked: “What shall we eat tonight?” No matter or she was playing or watching television, that question was for her the opportunity to yell “CHICKEN!”  

During a vacation in the South of Germany with friends, my daughter was showing again her addiction for chicken.  Next to our vacation house there was a little chicken farm where real chickens were running around. 

On a morning my friend took my daughter with him to visit the little chicken farm. His goal was to let her realize that what was her favourite meal also are very nice animals. So they entered in the chicken farm and my friend catch a chicken and gave that to my daughter.

She holds the chicken very gently, was caressing and talking to her. When my friend asked: “Do you like these chickens?”, she said: “Oooo, there are very nice and sweet and they make funny sounds…but they are also very tasty! Come let’s kill this one and eat it!!”

My friend didn’t reach his goal that day…. and in the afternoon he was driving to the store where he bought some chicken meat for my daughter. 

So, one clever woman more…
